Seven days, stated plainly
What starts it
A payment card is required to begin. No charge is made during the seven days, and the card is held by Stripe rather than by MeridiArc.
What ends it
On the eighth day the first payment is taken automatically unless you cancelled before then. A reminder is sent before that happens.
How to stop
Cancel from your account page at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
Billing, in detail
How is VAT handled?
No VAT is added today. Athene Holdings OÜ is not registered for VAT, so the price you see is the price charged and invoices carry no VAT amount. Tax rules move, and so can a company's position under them. If VAT, sales tax or a comparable tax later becomes chargeable on your subscription, in Estonia, elsewhere in the European Union or in the country you are billed from, it is charged at the rate the law requires and shown on the invoice. The price here changes with it, and you are told before your next renewal.
Which currency am I charged in?
US dollars, wherever you are. If your card is held in another currency your bank converts it, at their rate, and may add a fee of their own. MeridiArc charges the same number to everyone.
Do I get an invoice?
Yes. Stripe issues one for every payment and emails it to the address on the account. Past invoices are in your account page.
Can I move between monthly and annual?
Yes, from the account page. The change takes effect at the next renewal and the remaining time on the current period is not lost.
What is the refund policy?
Cancel any time. Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. Except where required by applicable law, subscription payments are non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period. The seven-day trial exists so that nobody has to buy blind, and cancelling inside it costs nothing.
